And Still We Rise

The Little Child Within: Your Secret Guide to Emotional Breakthroughs

Cristine Seidell Season 4 Episode 4

What if the places where you feel most stuck contain your greatest wisdom? This guided meditation invites you on a gentle journey inward to discover the profound insights hidden within your emotional barriers.

Through intentional breathing and somatic awareness, we'll help you locate where stuckness resides in your physical body—whether as heaviness in your chest, a knot in your belly, or tightness in your throat. Rather than trying to fix or overcome these sensations, you'll learn to approach them with curiosity and compassion, recognizing them as the voice of your inner child waiting to be heard.

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome. Today we're going to take a little trip through a guided meditation to listen for the insight and information of our little child. So take a moment to find some stillness. Let your body settle into a comfortable position, begin to breathe slowly and intentionally, inhale gently through your nose and exhale through your mouth, and let the outside world soften and let your mind know it's safe to turn inward. Now, with every breath, begin to imagine yourself sinking deeper and deeper into your inner world, a quiet, sacred space where all parts of you are welcome, even the stuck parts or the silent parts or the scared parts. Let's give the invitation to come to this place Now.

Speaker 1:

Bring your attention to the part of you that feels stuck, not to fix it, not to shame it, just to listen, to be noticed. Where in your body do you feel that sense of stuckness? Is it a heaviness in your chest or a knot in your belly? Or maybe it's a tightness in your throat? Wherever you notice it in your body, just gently place your hand there. If it feels right, allow yourself to breathe into that space, inhaling softness and gentleness and exhaling any tension that that part holds, and just gently let it know you're listening and that you're here and available to understand what needs to be attended to. Now, imagine that this feeling is not just a feeling of a block, but it actually is a small voice, the voice of your inner child, the part of you that learned long ago that it had to hold back in order to be accepted, to stay safe, the part of you that carries that emotional wisdom hidden deep, deep beneath the layers of silence. Just allow that little part to show up in that part of your body and just notice this little one. Give them time to acknowledge you, give them space and permission to observe you too. Let them become curious and build a sense of trust with you, still breathing that softness into that space, into that little one, and, when you're ready, ask them gently what they would like you to know, what it is you need to be aware of in this deafness, and let the answers come as images or feelings or whispers.

Speaker 1:

There's no right way to listen. Just be present and allow and know that this stuckness is not a flaw, it's a threshold, it's an invitation showing you the beauty in limitation. It's not to keep you trapped, but to guide you inward, to bring a pause into your awareness, to bring you to the edge of something very sacred within you. It's your own breakthrough, that only you can be guided from the very innermost part of you, and our mind remembers that true clarity often comes in silence, in flashes, in the quiet moments when it can rest so that the heart finally speaks and reveals some insight or information to us.

Speaker 1:

So breathe here a little longer with your little one, trusting that, as they guide you and reveal more of what you need to know, you can trust that this emotional wall is not the end. It is the doorway Guiding you to the places and spaces that you most need to listen to. And as we prepare to come back to the space, in this time, thank your inner child for speaking, Thank your body for feeling and thank your soul for staying, and affirm to yourself that you trust that even in your stuckness there is wisdom being held and that you can allow yourself to feel so that you can heal. Every limit is an opening and an invitation. So take one more breath in and gently exhale, and begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes, coming back to the here and now, opening up your eyes, becoming more aware of your surroundings and, when you're ready, place a hand over your heart and carry this softness and this insight and this little inner connection back with you. You are not broken. You are becoming.
